Vac Privacy Policy

Effective October 15, 2026. Applies to the Vac game on the web (vac.pixievacations.com), on iOS and on Android.

Vac ("the game") is made and published by Pixie Vacations, Atlanta, Georgia, USA. You do not need an account to play, and the game never asks for your name, email address, contacts, photos or location.

What stays on your device

Your progress (stars, coins, upgrades, looks, settings, the sound switch) and a random id the game makes up for the leaderboard are stored in the app's own local storage on your device. Deleting the app, or clearing the site's data in your browser, removes them. Nothing in this group is sent to us except as described under the leaderboard below.

The Daily House leaderboard

Each day's Daily House has a shared top-ten. When you post a run, the game sends us the nickname you typed, the run (clean percentage, time, stars), the date and the random device id. The nickname and the run are shown publicly on that day's board; the random id is used only to keep one row per device and is never shown. We host this on Supabase and Vercel. No account, email address or other personal information is attached to it.

Advertising

The iOS and Android apps show ads between rooms and an optional rewarded video behind the RESCUE ME button, served by Google AdMob (the Google Mobile Ads SDK). To serve and measure ads, Google may collect your IP address (used to estimate a general location), device identifiers (the advertising identifier, on iOS only with your permission through the tracking prompt), the ads you have seen and how you interacted with them, and diagnostic information such as app launch time, crash and performance data. How Google uses this is described in Google's Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), the app shows a consent form before any personalised ad.

The web version at vac.pixievacations.com may show ads through Google AdSense, which uses cookies and similar identifiers under the same Google policies.

Your choices: on iPhone, Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking lets you deny or withdraw tracking permission for Vac; on Android, Settings → Google → Ads lets you delete or reset your advertising id and opt out of ad personalisation. Ads then still show, but are not personalised.

Hosting and logs

The game, its leaderboard and this page are served by Vercel and Supabase, which keep standard server logs (IP address, request time, browser or app version) for a short time to run and protect the service.

Children

Vac is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has posted a nickname to the leaderboard, email us and we will remove it.

Deleting your data

Local data: delete the app, or clear the site's data in your browser. Leaderboard rows: email us the nickname and the date and we will remove the row. Advertising identifiers: reset or delete them in your device settings as described above.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
